Rental Policy

  • One rental day is defined as one use day, 24 hours from the time it was picked up.
  • An agreement to the “Release of Liability” form is required before the use of any gear provided by Teton Backcountry Rentals.
  • We are not teaching you how to ski, camp or travel in the backcountry. Travel in avalanche terrain and in the wilderness is inherently dangerous. Hiking at elevation is hard and should not be underestimated. You are responsible for your own safety. Please refer to Risk in the Backcountry.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations within 72 hours of reservation date. A full refund may be issued with 72 hours notice. No refunds will be issued for rental items returned earlier than your planned return date. Upon booking you made a reservation. This does not apply to bear spray. Vehicles have a separate rental policy that can be viewed during the checkout process.
  • An active credit card must be held on file for the duration of the rental. If there is significant damage upon return, you are responsible for the cost of repair or replacement if irreparable. Failure to return items results in automatic purchase of the gear. We reserve the right to charge an appropriate cleaning fee for any piece of gear returned in excessively poor condition.

A reservation guarantees that the gear will be ready and waiting for you on the day of your adventure. This reassurance will make your trip planning as smooth as possible.
